S1 Optics GmbH, located in Nürtingen, Germany, develops and produces optical coatings and reflectors.
Using the PVD process, we apply optical materials to a wide variety of substrates in a vacuum. Metal, plastic as well as all technical glasses such as Borofloat, BK 7, Duran, Pyrex, Quartz glass can be upgraded in this way with a wide range of optical functionalities.
The company was founded in 2001 as a supplier for the IST METZ group of companies. Since 2005 S1 Optics offers optical functional coatings on the market as a development service provider and producer. The products are used in industrial applications, metrology, laser applications or medical technology.
Following the merger into IST METZ GmbH & Co. KG. in October 2023, our core business will remain unchanged: Reflectors, coatings and analytics for optical applications with focus on the UV range!
From consulting, conception, procurement of substrate material to mechanical processing and packaging we cover the complete process chain.
For the analysis of optical coatings according to customer requirements or common standards, we have a wide range of measurement methods and tests at our disposal.
In addition to spectroscopy of reflection and transmission and optical microscopy, we also use climatic tests and inspection of the coating quality according to DIN ISO 9211 to check your product for highest quality and durability!
